NY State of Mind

Mark your calendars everyone - I'm going to NY in June for my 10 year high school reunion. I get in early on the Thursday prior to the reunion and I leave on Monday.

Here is the list of things I need to get done before I go to NY:
1. Reserve rental car - This will be the first time I rent a car while I am in NY. The hope is that having a rental car will give me the freedom to d0/see/accomplish everything that I want to do, while in relative, air conditioned comfort. (Sorry but I have been spoiled since living in Vegas - air conditioning is a necessity.)

2. Get Yankee tixx - radaromalley: how do you want to go about that? Do you want to hold off a while? Or should we go ahead and get seats? Its your call...

3. Find an outfit for the reunion - the girl in me has come out for this one. Looking back I realize that, with the exception of the uniform I had to wear day in and day out, I had a HORRENDOUS sense of style 10 years ago. I would like to think that it has improved somewhat. So I will spend the next few weekends searching out the perfect outfit. It's not that I want to impress anyone, its more that I want to feel good and look good for me.

4. Pack - Yes I know I have a lot of time for this, but to be honest, I usually wait until the very last minute to get this done, which always means I am rushing through the airport. I HATE BEING RUSHED.

5. Get a birthday gift for my nephew - My sister is having his birthday party (a month after the fact) while I am in town, so I want to get him a little something. What do you get a 6 year old who loves Spiderman?

6. Get a graduation gift for my brother - How crazy is this? Within 24 hours of my high school reunion, my little brother graduates from high school. I love it. But I want to get him something nice. I have a lot of brainstorming to do on this one. I want him to feel the way I did when he gave me a college graduation gift. (I don't want him to cry though...)

So much to do, so little time...
